This article needs to be re-written to use proper past tense and not future tense. I think I have fixed most of these issues, but some may still be present. Many of the choices of words can also be re-evaluated. In text citations would also be helpful.Johnpacklambert (talk) 17:44, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I edited the page to be more historically accurate (there are many inaccuracies in the original text, as well as the grammar issues noted above), but it has reverted to the way it was before my extensive edits. The information in the article is written in a more accurate and detailed manner in the Fayette Avery McKenzie article. I do not think it belongs on the McKenzie article but don't know if migrating it here makes sense. Amwilliams15 (talk) 22:00, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
