Really?
[edit]'(...) had a lasting influence on the artistic direction of American punk.': As much as I personally like the music of Fire Party, I don't think this claim can be taken serious. This may be true for Fugazi, but I don't think much people below a certain age and outside DC will have heard about the band (on the other hand I'm from Germany...).
'Apart from being an all female band, a rarity in hardcore punk music (...)': Yeah, and bands like Frightwig, Mudwimmin, Seven Year Bitch, L7, Babes In Toyland etc. have never existed.
Noteworthy: Amy Pickering sang backing vocals on the first Girls Against Boys EP. Nicky Thomas went on to form the band Mavis Piggott with Meghan Adkins. -87.152.142.120 (talk) 17:16, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
