Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and it's predecessor organizations have existed for over 50 years, essentially created the financial planning profession, and continues to be the most important entity within the profession. The fact that the longstanding page describing FPA was deleted last year was breathtakingly ignorant. It was the equivalent of deleting the page for the American Medical Association or the American Bar Association. Honestly, that it ever happened should be an embarrassment to all Wikipedia editors. Please follow this page and prevent JesseRafe from committing this vandalism in the future.

The page I created yesterday is a placeholder only and will be expanded in coming days, at which time the notability and importance of the organization will become increasingly clear (although 3 minutes on Google would accomplish that purpose for anyone truly interested). Again, please prevent JesseRafe from committing more juvenile vandalism on this page. Or maybe it's user:Pontificalibus (the name says it all, doesn't it?)
