Outline of Proposed Changes

[edit]

Filter Theory Updates Outline: • Much of the research done on mate selection is based on arranged vs. love marriage; however, in The Transitional Phase of Mate Selection, the process is divided into “search” and “decision”. I plan to talk about both models and how the transition of our world into a more modern one effects mate selection. • I also plan to discuss the topic of interracial dating & marriage and how it can effect a child’s decision selecting a mate. Specifically, how social factors influence mate selection in biracial people. • The article currently has a very limited amount of information so I would like to expand on the idea as a whole and add more evidence and information regarding filter theory. I would like to provide more examples to filter theory and explain how the mate selection process differs from person to person based on ethnicity, gender, culture, etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Irive033 (talkcontribs) 22:04, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
