Article tagged for a rewrite as it is so poorly written. DavidCane 10:45, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm not native in english, but I really think that any metal except iron may qualify as a non-ferrous metal. I got to this article trying to find something about non-ferrous Italic textalloysItalic text... Daniel Gaman 12:36, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
Information on ths site is voluntarily published. The more users provide input the more it will grow.
THE SIGHT DID EXACTLY WHAT YOU ASKED IT TO DO AND THAT IS TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN FERROUS AND NON FERROUS METALS. I WORK IN THE METAL BUSINESS AND THIS IS TRUE. IF YOU WANT A MORE SPECIFIC ANSWER, ASK A MORE SPECIFIC QUESTION.
Rewrite and move
I rewrote the article. I don't think there is a need for separate articles, so moved non-ferrous metal to ferrous and non-ferrous metals and I redirected non-ferrous metal and ferrous metal to ferrous and non-ferrous metals. -- Kjkolb 03:23, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
INFOMATION
i am doing a school project and it is really hard because there is not enough infomation on this subject. i just dont know why when there is so much on everything ells in this web sit.
Simply not enough information
I completely agree with the above comment, I am trying to complete a school project and this article does not provide enough information. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 220.237.179.250 (talk) 10:03, 25 February 2007 (UTC).
- Really? The purpose of this page is merely to differentiate between the two general types, which is truly nothing more than one contains iron and one does not. Being that there are dozens of metals that are not iron (and thousands of alloys that both contain and don't contain it), all properties differentiating the two groups varry widely. Look up a specific metal if you have questions regarding it. Someguy1221 10:48, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Summarised
I summarised up the text so it was easier to see straight away the details of "Non-Ferrous" and "Ferrous" metals. More detail should be added, but I do not know enough to make any real facts.
And the above comment is just plain immature... It's fine to have an opinion but that was just idiotic. You couldn't even spell half of it or put it into decent grammar. I have also censored the swearing in there, although you can make it what they were... (Most weren't spelt right anyway) JFeldon 16:29, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Clueless!!!
Whoever the Technician is, writing this article, your doing fine. Don't frustrate yourself or get pissed off for that matter because these people obviously don't know how to differentiate a definition or a direct source from a broader band of information. The info you're giving here is approximately the same as if they were to pick up a encyclopedia book. I bet money on it that they've never even picked one up before...haha. From the looks of it they all sound pretty young. But for the guys commenting on this article, he is right, you'll need to ask a more specific question to generate a better answer. Agree? If you want to know the difference betwwen ferrous and non-ferrous metals, it's right there in front of you. If you want to know what elements are in the two or whatever question you have ask away but accordingly.
One more thing!!!
Guys, please proofread what you're displaying. People don't know how to talk anymore or have any knowledgeable grammar anymore. What's the deal about all of the cussing and swearing? Come on you guys...grow up!!!
this site is copletely use less —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.34.243.151 (talk) 18:16, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
