All the infoboxes for different topics are color coded. The auto ones need to have the automobile standard color specified at Wikipedia:WikiProject Automobiles/Layouts. If you're going to change them, change them to that. Thanks.Hektor 19:33, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Advertising Alert

[edit]

"A car with such performance needs to be equipped with the best tires on the market," said Jean Jacques Wiroth, European director of Original Equipment Sales and Marketing for Goodyear tires, adding "we are proud that Ferrari chose the Goodyear Eagle F1 with run-flat technology."

This sound like an advertisemenmt to me. Consider deletion?--Anxietydescending (talk) 20:59, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Launch Control

[edit]

Does the manual transmission have the "launch control" (euro model)?

Challenge Stradale Edition

[edit]

It states that the Challenge Stradale (CS) edition will have weight savings of 100kg, then it says the reduction of items such as AC and carpets means it looses 250kg from standard. Is this wrong?

US release

[edit]

um why would the US release date be any more significent than anyone elses, wikipedia wasn't US centric last time I checked.

Renaming of the "F430 Scuderia" to "430 Scuderia"

[edit]

The actual name is not going to have the "F". In all the press releases and pictures its is shown and named as the "430 Scuderia".

Thanks :)

  • I second the above comment - at present, the article's name can effectively be read as "Ferrari Ferrari 430", which is clearly something of a tortology and hence a bit silly!

No it doesn't. Considering that the original colour of Ferrari is yellow. The Rosso Corsa colour was first used on Alfa Romeos. U1Quattro (talk) 04:11, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please consider revising "This F430 will be the last F430."

[edit]

This statement is somewhat misleading. One might interpret this statement as implying that Ferrari will no longer manufacture the entire F430 product line. There are two indications that F430 variants will continue to be produced. (1) Official Ferrari Web site "Current Range" page: http://www.ferrari.com/English/GT_Sport%20Cars/CurrentRange/Pages/Current_Range.aspx - Although the F430 (coupe) has been replaced with the 458 Italia; the F430 Spider, 430 Scuderia and Scuderia Spider 16M are still listed. (2) AutoGuide.com's review of the "2010 Ferrari F430 Spider" http://www.autoguide.com/manufacturer/ferrari/2010-ferrari-f430-spider-1209.html Rein D (talk) 17:51, 7 November 2009 (UTC) Rein[reply]

Supercar or Sports Car?

[edit]

I think the F 430 should be considered a supercar due to the fact that it has great performance and is quite rare and exotic. It can't be considered a supercar, as it is like a Chevrolet Corvette in the USA: a very powerful car, but not a supercar. The F 430 is a supercar it is not a hypercar but definitely a supercar not a sports car a Mitsubishi 3000 gt is a sports car. supercars must be a blend of characteristics like go over 200mph or 0-60 under 3.9 seconds, have 2 doors must be sleek and refined most of the time over $100,000 also limited production. and this why a corvette is not supercars. the ZR1 is another story due to limited production price and performance

Now hold on the new Corvette Zr1 should be considered a supercar in price and performance!

It is classified as a sports car per WP:CARCLASS because it is a vague term. Bahooka (talk) 03:27, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
