[edit]I am speaking from the traditional perspective, not my personal point of view. Traditionalist Roman Catholic conservatives support strict adherence to pre-Vatican II rituals, particularly the Traditional Latin Mass. Liberals support reform of the liturgy. Rifan was in favor of Vatican II changes in the liturgy, making him a liberalist. See TRADITIO Traditional Roman Catholic Internet Site for further information. Sebastian Prospero 01:59, 23 August 2005 (UTC) I have corrected the blatant POV as well as the many factual errors in the article, although it is still quite short. 84.160.58.101 16:00, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
I don't think that Bishop Rifan's alleged concelebration should be a part of his wikipedia article. Please let the inter-trad-ruckus be left on crazy internet forums. That information, with debatable credibility, is of no worth to anyone outside the trad circles, and those already know of it. Bishop Rifan has denied concelebrating (and yes, I know that the SSPX has created a "simulation of sacrament" out of it. That he was just there obviously did not occur to them), and I don't know why what Bishop Rifan said is of less credibility than what the SSPX claims based on a picture. But even if it were true it is not something that belongs to an encyclopedia. Things like his birth date would be more interesting. 84.160.60.123 21:45, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
- The link proves the concelebration. It is an objective fact. The fact that it is not liked, subjectively, by some, does not mean it may not be published in the article. Stijn Calle 19:00, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
- No it doesn't. It proves that he was there. So let's have it in a neutral way.
- He was not sitting in the church, the pictures proof het actively took part in the ceremony. Stijn Calle 14:23, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
