- Make article less technical so that non-fencers can understand: suggest cleaning up foil, epee, and sabre sections by moving reference to electronics to a more technical section.
- Eliminate occasional POV that creeps in between the weapons "Saber is better", etc...
- Use care with POV regarding fencing styles -- Possibly another reason to make article less technical.
- Possibly create section on changes in the sport.
- Increase cited references.
- Photos by a qualified professional are desperately needed to describe all the various terms of fencing.
- As the majority of this article focuses on sport fencing, points, and rules, it would be interesting to have a seperate section developed about non-sport, combat fencing, techniques, and history.
- Clean up redundancies. The "Competitive Fencing: Olympic Fencing" is largely not about Olympic Fencing, but about local competitions and NACs. The information about tournament structure is redundant with the section further down on "Practice and Techniques: Competition Formats," which is logically the right place to have that information.
