Citations needed, missing information
[edit]Under Evolution of Feminism in Latin America, there need to be citations added, particularly for the meetings of the International Feminist Congresses. Dmaldonado08 (talk) 01:32, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
This article would benefit from an added section about machismo and how it has interacted with the development of feminism in Latin America, especially since the machismo article references Latin American feminists. It also should include new fields that have developed in feminism in Latin America, like ecofeminism with the influence of Pachamama in indigenous societies. Dmaldonado08 (talk) 01:32, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
added a See Also section for Feminism in South America. Dmaldonado08 (talk) 01:32, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

I feel this wikipedia page needs to address more issues pertaining to feminism in certain countries. There is just a generalization of feminism over the entire continent, so I would like to see specific areas of feminism in specific areas/countries of Latin America.
Additionally, there seems to be a lack of leaders/activists in Latin America's feminism. There is a lack of visual representation for these areas and people. I look to see more people and visual representations like those of feminism in western countries. Collegekid2020 (talk) 17:35, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
Editing
[edit]Hello everyone!
I wanted to let everyone know that as part of an undergraduate technical editing course, I will be working on editing this article. Since Wikipedia has this article flagged for sounding too much like an argumentative essay, my current thoughts on possible improvements are focused towards possibly adjusting the tone of writing to make it more neutral and encyclopedic in style. I am also looking to make some adjustments to lead section. Of course, any editorial suggestions I come up with will be posted in my sandbox so we can discuss them! If anyone has any suggestions on what sort of improvements you think could be made to the article or external links that may help me as I make changes, they would be most appreciated, so please let me know!

New section for protests against sexual assault in Latin America?
[edit]As of right now, the article does not touch on the feminist movements in Latin America that have lead to several large protests, the Chilean protests even creating an "anti-rape anthem" that has been used internationally. [1] This could be a great new section that could also help extend the understanding of the work that Latin American feminism has done in the more recent years.
