Spelling of Feminisation/Feminization
[edit]I found this article searching for the word "Feminisation" wondering how it's spelled. The article has "Feminisation" in the titles, but "Feminization" in the body. This should be standardized, shouldn't it?
- Yes, it should. The original version was spelled in the BE style, and remained that way for quite some time, before AE spellings started creeping in. When a subject is not tied to a particular country, then the original variety of English should be retained. Also, other words, like labour. I've switched the article to be entirely BE. (Note that other articles in the External links section may have other varieties of English, so these links may be spelled (spelt!) differently.) Mathglot (talk) 23:02, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
Awkward sentence
[edit]“Overseas workers have earned the title of "migrant heroism" for sacrificing themselves away from the family and to normalise migration remittance-sending to their motherland.”
I’m unsure what the writer meant when they wrote this sentence. Originally, they wrote “self-sacrificing themselves” but I changed it to what’s seen above. Is “sacrificing themselves away” correct? It seems a little strange and I’ve never seen it as a phrase before. Additionally, I’m a little confused by the second part of the sentence - “to normalise migration remittance-sending to their motherland.” Jaywalking101 (talk) 15:27, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
