Shouldn't the title be "Female entrepreneurship" or at least "female entrepreneurs"?
[edit]This isn't about one or a set of female entrepreneurs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dvalentine (talk • contribs) 19:52, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- Yes. "Female entrepreneurship" would probably be the best title, but I have at least corrected the short-lived move to "Women entrepreneur" which is grammatically wrong in multiple ways. World's Lamest Critic (talk) 03:12, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
Planning to write a child article about female entrepreneurship in Africa
[edit]Hi everybody, I'm looking to write an article about female entrepreneurship in Africa, with a strong focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. If anyone has any resources please point them my way! If you're interested in seeing what I plan on writing about in more detail, please check out my user page. Wickersong (talk) 08:12, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
Renaming article - or make it less US centric
[edit]This article as it is now is very US-centric, besides the other issues mentioned in the header. I would like to suggest renaming it to 'Female entrepreneurship in the United States' or 'Female entrepreneurs in North America'. Reworking the article to make it more globally applicable would also be an option, perhaps bringing a lot of the current content under a sub header 'North America' and adding headers for other continents (thus fulfilling above wish to also include African female entrepreneurs). This however may lead to an article of such length that splitting it us may be preferable. Your thoughts on this, please. Renate (talk) 12:36, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
- I agree that it is far too US-centric.
- The history section should go further back in time and the stress should be other countries than the US. There are several easily accessible categories that list business women much further back around Europe.

- My guess is that there also were women entrepreneurs in for example Japan and in ancient Rome and Greece, but I do not know of any. It was when looking for such information that I found this page. Mlewan (talk) 14:16, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
