- ... that the novel Felix O'Day, the second bestselling book of December 1915 in the United States, was said to be "the crowning achievement" of Francis Hopkinson Smith?
- ALT1: ... that "the crowning achievement" of Francis Hopkinson Smith, the novel Felix O'Day, was not published until after his death?

- QPQ checks out. Article is long enough. Article is new enough. Hook is short enough and neutral. No image to review. Source checks out for "second bestselling book of December 1915, though the page for the reference should be 268, not 267. Second source checks out, though I believe it's being a bit hyperbolic. Spotchecks on those two references check out. Copyvio would be impossible as every source cited is in the public domain. Hook is neutral and interesting. Pass once the page is changed from 267 to 268. Therapyisgood (talk) 18:03, 29 November 2021 (UTC)

- Therapyisgood I added more to the hook to clarify that it is referring to the United States. SL93 (talk) 01:09, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Therapyisgood and SL93: hi there! the article is fine and the hook is cited, but I think there's a more interesting hook to be had—does ALT1 or ALT1a work for you? theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (they/she?) 19:46, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
- theleekycauldron I would be fine with either one of those. SL93 (talk) 21:18, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
- Need someone to review the alts. SL93 (talk) 20:33, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
- @SL93: I don't think we're required to have someone else review the ALTs, you're still the reviewer—we just need someone else to promote them. We could ping Cwmhiraeth or Kavyansh.Singh for that, if you'd like... theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (they/she) 21:00, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
- Theleekycauldron I'm actually the nominator. SL93 (talk) 21:02, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
- Oops! auto-trout for me, then— could we get someone else up in here? theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (they/she) 21:04, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
- Pinging original reviewer Therapyisgood to see if they can review ALT1 and ALT1a for suitability, and if one or both are fine, to add a tick below and say which one(s) work. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:38, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
- for alt 1, alt 1a is a bit of an easter egg link to me so no go on Alt 1A as is. Therapyisgood (talk) 17:45, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
