At least half of this article should be removed. Frankly, the entire thing should go.

[edit]

This is just IMO, but any discussion about reports or articles that are not cited by a report or a newspaper article should be removed.

The entire section about vertigo, where even the author using this webpage to advertise his book concludes the statements about vertigo were hearsay, doesn't deserve a spot in this.

The entire section about parts being found is supported by a link to a blog that **literally** begins with the words "As part of my original investigation into the Kinross Incident, I wrote..."

The entire section about the "Great Lakes Dive Company Hoax" is supported by a single link to someone's blog containing original research.

This is **uncited**. This is **unverifiable**. This is at best a terrible job, and at worst subversive **advertising** for blogs and books. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:547:F02:544A:14BB:37C3:7A86:AA84 (talk) 19:51, 3 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Could we please have some good citations here. News reports etc would go a long way to making the version of events on this page more credible for readers.

Similar pursuits?

[edit]

This entry seems very similar to a UFO encounter/pursuit I read a number of years ago - January 7th, 1948 Captain Thomas Mantel chased a UFO and crashed after coming to close to it. I've found 1 forum debunking it as a crazy pilot chasing a weather ballon, but as I recall from the book I first read of the pursuit, Mantel was a decorated WII veteran. Any thoughts?Noctris (talk) 20:04, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mantell_Incident - just found it minutes later - not sure after reading if its worthy of mentioning but perhaps this incident should be in the See Also section?Noctris (talk) 13:29, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Robert L. Wilson

[edit]

Far more mysterious is the fate of the other crewman of the F-89 in question. Why does the pilot get a nice long Wiki article, but his radar operator barely a mention. Perhaps he fell into some Great Lakes equivalent to the Bermuda Triangle - inquiring minds want to know...sounds like an anti-Wilson conspiracy in Wiki-land. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.158.48.11 (talk) 19:26, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
