WikiProject India reassessment and suggestions
[edit]Per request at WP:IN1, I've reassessed this article from stub to C class. Regarding this quality rating, see WP:ASSESS.
Some suggestion for further improvement:
- Improve the lead section - The lead section should give a good, stand-alone, summary of the rest of the article. It usually doesn't require inline citations or mention anything new.
- Better references - I see blogs and sites affiliated to the article subject used here. Blogs are generally not reliable sources. News reports from reputed agencies are good.
- Structure - Needs to be improved. For example, the section FICCI#Allied Organisations needn't be divided into so many small sub-sections, rather a simple list would do; same for "Notable alumni". Also see the link given below for this.
- Manual of style - Use of 'Dr' or 'Mr' is not used in the encyclopaedia, see WP:SURNAME. Also there is some unneeded bold marking in the infobox as well as some few sections, it's only used in these conditions. Section titles should only begin with capital letters.
- Finally, under FICCI#Office Bearers, I don't see how complete biography-like information about each member is relevant to the topic. This is about the organisation, not about its member's life. If the member is notable, they'll have their own page where it can be mentioned. Otherwise, it's simply isn't relevant here.
I highly recommend referring to the essay Writing better articles which details most of what I've mentioned above. Category:GA-Class organization articles can be used to find good-quality organisation articles to refer to. Sincerely, Ugog Nizdast (talk) 05:12, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
FICCI awards
[edit]FICCI has been giving awards in various categories. Shouldn't there be a section on it in the article? 117.254.178.223 (talk) 05:45, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
