Talk:Federated identity management
I've been working hard to clean up and organize and add relevant companies and products to everything related to Identity Management but some stuff has angered me. It's fine, it's great to use a company's info sheet about a topic, if it's actually about the topic and not purely put into the page to create a link. I'm removing Ping Identity “Federated Identity Management: A Beginners Guide” turns out to be a Ping Identity page titled “Cloud Sing Sing-on and Federated Identity.” Not even close to a beginner’s guide to Federated Identity Management but a promotional page about their products and a mention of Federated Identity (not even Federated Identity Management). Shameless and sneaky. StewartNetAddict (talk) 20:14, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
Merger to Federated identity page proposal
[edit]Dear contributors, It seems to me that this page is mostly redundant with the Federated identity page. I think that it's important to describe the concept of identity federation before digging in its management issues, which should be a section of the final article. Hopefully, this consolidated article would gain visibility and would be less prone to the aforementioned abuse. What do you think? Best regards, --Jul (talk) 21:41, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
For what it's worth, I agree with Jul that this page is redundant and should be merged into the Federated identity page. Riordanmr (talk) 16:53, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
