Federal Constitutional Law (Austrian act)Federal Constitutional Law – The B-VG is the sole law denoted “Federal Constitutional Law”. The constitutions (and components of the constitutions) of federations have never been referred to as federal constitutional laws, but rather as supreme laws, federal constitutions or national constitutions. Yes, that's what I said, but none is referred to as "Federal Constitutional Law" expect the Austrian one, at least on the English Wikipedia. Therefore the suffix "(Austrian act)" is simply redundant, especially when Federal Constitutional Law already redirects to this article. Colonestarrice (talk) 10:39, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: moved. Nominator's arguments are superficially valid and nobody has raised any objections. (non-admin closure) Compassionate727 (T·C) 22:34, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Federal Constitutional Law (Austrian act)Federal Constitutional Law – Per WP:PRECISE. There is no other article titled "Federal Constitutional Law". The DAB currently lists: this article; German constitutional law, which redirects to Law of Germany; and Federal Constitutional Law (Russia), which redirects to Law of Russia. The German Constitution is known as Grundgesetz (Basic Law) and has never been referred to as "Federal Constitutional Law" or something even remotely similar. I tried to find something on "Russian federal constitutional law" outside WP – since the explanation provided by Law of Russia isn't particularly elaborate – but couldn’t find anything. Furthermore, a quick Google search returns only the Austrian document. Since "Federal Constitutional Law" is nevertheless very generic, I suggest adding a hatnote to this article which links to Constitutional law (disambiguation) and Federal law (disambiguation).
