I have read on many reputable sites that the height is 640 ft and that it is the 6th highest falls in the US (or Continental US). However, the data on the World Waterfalls Database (http://www.world-waterfalls.com) seems very reliable and complete, and lists many more than 6 falls in the US that are taller.
On this page (http://www.world-waterfalls.com/waterfall.php?num=287) it also mentions this common misconception and states that the falls are only 400 ft. I am not sure of the truth, but the height and ranking should certainly be questioned.
Ya! You know why that can be, it depends how they measure the waterfalls! Because sometimes for Yosemite Falls, it's not the highest, because they measure it as 3 different waterfalls instead of one! I'll take a look at that link and see where some other ones are ranked! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Podruznik (talk • contribs) 22:30, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
