Favorskii reaction
[edit]I am just editing the German article on the de:Faworski-Reaktion and am somewhat surprised that here Favorskii reaction and Favorskii rearrangement are given as synonymes for what is the German de:Faworski-Umlagerung. Why is the reaction involving an alkyne and a carbonyl moiety omitted in the English Wikipedia, while it is well present in English chemical literature? --Dr. Dscho 07:13, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks Dr. Dscho, for bringing this to our attention, from the history at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Favorskii_reaction&action=history I see people are confused. If it checks out I will translate your German page to the English Wiki. (A pity though that your nice image contains German words otherwise I could copy it) V8rik 16:08, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
