Updating

[edit]

Hi, article seems dated. I currently have no time unfortunately. Just walking-through. Missing for example: Fault injections are a safety-systems critical testing method, not mentioned in article. Example here https://users.ece.cmu.edu/~koopman/des_s99/fault_injection/index.html or https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007%2F978-3-642-38789-0_11. I may come back and edit/add content.--𝔏92934923525 (talk) 10:17, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Network fault injection

[edit]

This article is heavy on manual code insertion fault injection but doesn't cover other fault injection methods like network level fault injection, code mutation, SQL injection, etc.

Cenzic claims to own a patent on fault injection: (http://www.cgisecurity.com/2007/06/15 http://www.patentstorm.us/patents/7185232.html).

Inventive step and non-obviousness would seem to apply here. For instance http://doi.ieeecomputersociety.org/10.1109/COMPSAC.2006.12.

The second code example contains a wiki rendering problem, where the argument of main is rendered as a wiki link when it's referenced. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.67.57.153 (talk) 12:45:41, August 19, 2007 (UTC)

Hi, your comment is super-old. Any updates? I'd say start from scratch and calling this done.  --𝔏92934923525 (talk) 10:14, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Proper explanation

[edit]

This article lacks a proper explanation of the purpose of Fault Injection, or of the expected results. The article about Mutation testing is much better in that respect, and I think its introduction could be used here, too. Some modifications might be needed, though. --Prauch (talk) 23:26, 4 April 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Hi, also your comment is very old. Start form scratch and why not contribute properly and directly, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Contributing_to_Wikipedia. Calling this comment done.  --𝔏92934923525 (talk) 10:14, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
