Ethnic origins of Fatma Al-nabhani?

I heard one time that Fatma Al-nabhani's family is originally from one of these countries: Iran, Pakistan or India. But the person who told me this wasn't sure of the information. Hello there TennisloveUAE, welcome to Fatma Al Nabhani's page. Fatma is an Omani tennis player, therefore she's a citizen of the Sultanate of Oman. I don't know her ethnic origin but I don't think it really matters. Unless it can be confirmed, I don't think we should add assumptions about her racial classification. There are many Omanis who are originally from Iran (Persians, Balochis, etc.), as well as many Omanis who are originally from Pakistan and India, as well as other places around the world (including Africa). So there is a possibility that Ms. Al Nabhani is originally Pakistani or Iranian or one of these, but until we can confirm it then we shouldn't include it in the article. She does look like a few Pakistani and Iranian women I know, but we will base the information not on looks but on hard sources that can back these claims up. In the meantime, all we can conclusively say is that Ms. Al Nabhani is Omani, regardless of whether she's Arab or non-Arab. Alnabhani (talk) 11:49, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for replying and apologies for the lateness in my reply. I agree that it does not matter but I was interested in knowing what her ethnic origin is. I agree with you that she does indeed look like a few Iranian or Pakistani women. She is very beautiful and all that matters is she's Omani now. Choice of attire section?

Should we add a section in the article for Al-nabhani's fashion statements during her tennis matches? I read a post on a blog (many weeks ago) about an article that was published on one of the international tennis fan websites, and the article was speaking about fashion statements of several newcomer tennis players. The blog mentioned Al-nabhani wearing an incredible spandex catsuit in several matches against her opponents in Turkey and other venues. Once again, we mustn't base our articles on assumptions or what we read/heard from other places. Unless we can back things up with valid sources, these must be remained entirely out of the article, likewise to your first question about Ms. Al Nabhani's ethnic background. As for Fatma's choice of outfit, I must admit that I also heard talks about her wearing a green skintight bodysuit (similar to Serena Williams's pink catsuit) on several occasions. But nobody has ever succeeded in proving that to me. I wan't proof and a substantial source that can back this up. I heard it from one or two people myself but I'm not buying it unless there is strong evidence. Furthermore, as one of my close friends told me, Fatma Al Nabhani might have been mixed up with another female tennis player of a similar surname. Until there's concrete evidence for this, there's no way it'll be approved into the article. Time would tell if it was a false rumor, or if it was a mix-up or if it's true. And this is why I asked this question because I did not wan't to add anything to the article without confirmation. True, she could have been confused with another tennis person of a similar name, as you said. But the problem is that these rumors can be started by anyone and nobody will ever know if it's true or not. Also, nobody knows if these rumors started from a bunch of jokers on the internet or if the rumors started from the people who actually attended her matches. As I said in my first comment, I heard about this clothing issue on a blog. But the topic was brought to my attention again, last week, because I heard that Fatma wore the catsuit again in Istanbul, back in May. Apparently from what I've heard, the catsuit is mostly worn in Turkey tournaments... for some strange reason. The other rumor is she only wears it against Başak Eraydın, a Turkish player. Let's not make a big deal over this, please. Even if the rumor was true, I don't understand why anyone would like to mention it in the article in the first place. This article is mostly about Ms. Al Nabhani's tennis performances; her choice of attire is hers only. Serena Williams wore a pink catsuit before and nobody mentioned it in her Wiki article. So let's not turn this into a huge deal. Furthermore, this isn't a discussion forum. If you want to discuss any rumors, please do it elsewhere. The talk page is for people who want to make any comments, suggestions or queries on the article itself. This has already been discussed, therefore I see no point continuing this discussion anymore, unless you and I take it elsewhere. She could have worn it but it's not like it really matters. As for Basak Eraydin, she's one of Ms. Al Nabhani's fiercest rivals, but she's also one of her dearest friends. So perhaps Ms. Al Nabhani wears the catsuit on every occasion she meets Basak. TennisloveUAE, one of my internet associates says he may have also stumbled on the article that you previously mentioned. He added that he knows someone who claims to have taken personal photographs of Ms. Al Nabhani in her bodysuit. If he succeeds in providing me the link to the article in question then I might add the information to Ms. Fatma's Wiki page. Personally, I don't see the point of mentioning her choice of clothing in a predominantly tennis-related Wiki article, but I'm only going to do this for your sake and only when it's fully cited and confirmed.Alnabhani (talk) 22:20, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Her religion?
