Jocularity
[edit]When did Mulcahy actually say "jocularity", outside of the episode where everyone was supposedly quoting him?
"Losing Preacher" Mulcahy
[edit]I seem to recall that the character was named after "Losing Pitcher" Mulcahy--Hugh Mulcahy of the Phillies (which may account for the later use of the character as being from Philadelphia). This may have been in the novel. Anyone else recall this and should it be added somewhere?134.243.211.185 (talk) 21:26, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
In The novel MASH by Richard Hooker, Hawkeye Pierce addresses Father Mulcahy as “Losing Preacher”. Pocket Books copyright 1968. Page 35 paperback version. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.8.132.213 (talk) 02:32, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
