Model United Nations exaggeration

[edit]

I have been involved with high school Model United Nations for many years and a "World Model United Nations" championship is a new one to me. Model United Nations consists of many local and regional conferences, with a few large international conferences scattered around the world. Some of these conferences are tougher than others, but there is simply no one "world Championship" conference. I suspect that the Father Judge students are referring to their delegation awards from the UNA-USA Conferences held in New York City, which, to their credit, are fairly intense conferences. However, this section should be corrected to reflect the specific awards and conferences at which these awards were won.

Image Problems

[edit]

For some reason the image was of a judge, not of the school. There was no vandalism, and chances are there is either a caching problem with wikipedia's server, or they removed the picture of the school. Either way I removed the image temporarily. The sidebar looks like crap but I couldn't find another image and don't want to go through the hassle of finding and uploading one. If it doesnt resolve itself I might just take my own picture and upload it when I drive by it. Edg126 18:21, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Name Dropping

[edit]

What's with all the name references? Any one that is not recognizable should be removed. Also, sections that are not unique to Judge or to the education system in general should be removed, like the departments and their chairs, the administration section. Every school has that, and users would not go to wikipedia for that information, they should go to the schools website. Edg126 17:40, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Contents section

[edit]

Should be removed, the page is not long enough to warrent having it, but I'm not sure how to remove it. Edg126 14:34, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The 27

[edit]

If enough information is gathered, I think we should add a subpage to the 27 judge graduates that died in Vietnam (plus other conflicts?) I believe people that are on the judge wiki would be very interested visting a page like that. I've seen one of the bios on http://fatherjudge.com/FileUploads/FJ_Dec_05_web.pdf Edg126 21:27, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please make sure you add a reference to any changes. It takes like a 1 minute search in google to find one. Edg126 14:34, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Father Judge in 'Rocky'

[edit]

There is a scene in the original Rocky where Rocky and Adrian are watching the evening news on television. Apollo Creed is interviewed. After the interview, Rocky and Adrian talk to each other, but the television announcer says that Father Judge beat Frankford to win the City Title game. That happened on December 6, 1975 at Veterans Stadium.

Also, Tony Danza briefly had a program called 'Teach' which showed him as a temporary teacher at Northeast High School on Cottman Avenue. In the first episode, Father Judge beat Northeast in a football game. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.115.248.24 (talk) 17:28, 21 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
