Literacy
[edit]The article says: "Fatehpur has an average literacy rate of 58.4%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 56%, and female literacy is 47%". That doesn't seem right. How can both the male & female rates be below the average rate? Neutron Jack (talk) 04:54, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Fatehpur, Barabanki
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Fatehpur, Barabanki's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "Gazetteer Oudh 1877":
- From Alapur: Gazetteer of the province of Oudh, BARA BANKI DISTRICT ARTICLE #226-263 This article incorporates text from this source, which is in the public domain.
- From Satrikh: Gazetteer of the province of Oudh, BARA BANKI DISTRICT ARTICLE #226-263
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 13:55, 6 April 2019 (UTC)

Town vs city
[edit]@IPs, according to Indian government, an urban area with population of ≥ 100,000 (1 lakh) is called a city. See the source [1]. This settlement ha a population of 35,582, which makes it a Class III town, and not a city. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:32, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
