Same guy?

@Applodion: Farouk Minawa [1]? There's other talk about him being the last SRB director, as Godwin Matatu writes inhis article on the fall of Amin's regime. -Indy beetle (talk) 23:20, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Indy beetle: When creating this article, I also initially thought that they might be the same. After digging into the issue, however, I think that they are separate people. Minawa was described as Sudanese Nubian (namely a Bari) and as Minister of Internal Affairs, both of which do not match Malik. In addition, Minawa was involved in the Bush War (see Sowing the Mustard Seed), unlike Malik who fled to Kenya. The fact that both men worked for the secret police and were confidants of Bob Astles seems to be a coincidence. Applodion (talk) 09:51, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
