User:Ahunt Beneteau and McDell never have been builders of the Mumm 30 yet another false claim on sailboat data. I haven't even started on the errors you introduced in things like the Nautor Swan by accepting a third party website as gospol rather than specialist websites. You will find Beneteau linked to the Mumm 30 predecessor the Mumm 36 and the Mumm 30 small sister the Platu 25. If I am wrong you will find the boat on Beneteau website on archive.org. The Beneteau website archives on archive.org don't go back anywhere near the introduction of this boat in 1995, so there is no help there. We currently have two refs (Sailboatdata and Sailboatguide) that say Beneteau built this design and three refs (Sailboatdata, Sailboatguide and Boat Specs) that all say McDell did. This PDF brochure from Farr's own website confirms McDell, Ovington and Carroll, but not Beneteau, although it is not dated, so may not be complete. I think that conclusively proves your claim that McDell did not build the boat as incorrect. Here is another ref that says Beneteau built it. I will add that ref too. That gives us three refs that all say Beneteau built it, so you will need something definitive that says those are all wrong. - Ahunt (talk) 00:10, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have made some inquiries about primary sources on Beneteau as a builder, but it may take a few days to get some results. I'll post a note when I have a result there. - Ahunt (talk) 00:41, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can live with that just not Beneteau. I did some digging as the majority were built by Ovington and Carroll Marine. But it look like McDell built a couple. [[1]] it this kind of primary reference I prefer to sailboat data. McDell were the primary builder for the Platu 25 alongside Beneteau. Yachty4000 (talk) 23:49, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
