[edit]- 1) replace "most illustrious" with prominent or some other term. illustrious sounds like a peacock term
- 2) Wikilinks for Mohammed Shah I, Bahamani Sultanate, Ala-ud-Din Khilji, Muhmmad bin Tughluq, Berar, Daulatabad, Ferishta etc. there is black text for most of the article. a few more wikilinks would help.
- 3)If possible, please supplement the dhulia district gazetteer with a few more citations. i checked in google books and it looks like there a number of books available in full or limited preview. An article of this size and quality would be even greater with a variety of sources added. Maybe its just my wish to see a large number of references :-) Also the Tarikh-i Firishta is available in The History of India, as Told by Its Own Historians. The Muhammadan Period. the book is in public domain and available in scribd and openlibrary. May be more info is there in it.
- 4)minor copy edits : "one of his hunting expedition(s)"; "paying tributes to (the)Delhi sultan"; "(the) Only prosperous area"; "forced to pay tribute
sto him";"Malik Raja had to returnbackall";he married off his daughterwithto the Bahmani prince;"He did notwent for any conquestattempt any conquests,";"Unable to copeupAdil Khan IIacceptedagreed to pay the arrears"; "Daud Khan was aweek(weak)ruler and dependent on two brothers,- Hussain Ali and Yar ali." - 5)List of kings can be put in a table format. will look prettier
- 6)A background section in the beginning explaining the general political situation in deccan and in india before and during the existence of Khandesh would be helpful.
- 7)Any additional info on arts, rule, coins, literature, religion, cutoms etc (i.e the non political and military aspects of the the Faruqi rule) would be great. also direct quotes of firishta or abul faizl etc. I saw some google book references to sufism and customs in khandesh
- 8) A legacy/aftermath section would be great.
