“Currently the country holds the second position in agricultural production in the world”→second highest position in output? Yield/acre?; No source for “over the last century, the population of India has tripled,” and being such a fact-based statement I’m thinking you may want one; minor edit: need space after period/beginning of “Between 1951 and 1990…”.
