[edit]I'd like to expand this area but I'm not sure what the guidelines are to avoid being accussed of advertising, if anyone can point me to an example of best practice, please leave a comment here.

- I've tidied it up a bit. Just stick to the facts (saying the beach is beautiful is opinion not fact, though if you can provide evidence that the beach is "regarded as beautiful" that should work), and provide references for any statements that might be contentious (the fáinne ór bit was dodgy; I've passed through Fanore many times, I can't remember what the sign gives as the Irish name but it's not that). Be especially careful with external links to commercial websites; make sure they actually add something informative to the article. There are plenty of examples of good (and bad) practice around; just read loads of other articles (try Doolin, Ballyvaughan, Lisdoonvarna, Ailladie) and talk pages and it should become clearer. This page is easily a "start" per the IMOS conventions; I've updated the tag. Sarah777 (talk) 15:29, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
