Possible Additions
[edit]I think it's important to add some less known history about Fannie May. In 2014, Fannie May's warehouse burned down and struggled with orders around Thanksgiving and Christmas. http://www.candyindustry.com/articles/86533-thanksgiving-fire-destroys-fannie-may-warehouse-and-distribution-facility http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2016/03/fannie_may_and_harry_london_ch.html
I think it's also important to note Fannie May's comeback and partnerships after the fire. I can talk about one of the Fannie May stores downtown that has an alliance with the Chicago Blackhawks. They've claimed the slogan "Fannie May Strong One Team, One Goal". As of recent, Fannie May is the sponsor of the Chicago Cubs. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/chc/ticketing/premier/fanniemaybleachersweet.jsp
Fannie May has gone through many looks over the years, but none of the changes have been this big. One of the five Fannie May's in the loop reopened after a huge remodel. "The Cafe at Fannie May" now has bakery items, a new modern space in and outside, and seating. http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-fannie-may-reopening-1123-biz-20161122-story.html
There's a lot more to talk about too. The branding/logo changes, Ferrero buying out Fannie May, and what the new company plans on doing with Fannie may.
