Unbelievable claim about FPC to FHSA transition
[edit]Having started working in an FPC a year before the transition to FHSA, and remaining there for a number of years, I'm somewhat surprised with this claim:
- Nearly half of all Family Practitioner Committee administrators were sacked, and the new appointees came from outside the NHS, nearly all from industry or the armed forces.
Although it's a long time ago, I don't recall such a drastic reduction of the administrative staff, nor their replacement as stated. I know the claim is cited, but I don't buy it. Nick Cooper (talk) 15:47, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- There were many FPC and many FHSAs. If JTH says this happened than I think that is good evidence. He was well placed to know. It doesn't imply it happened everywhere.Rathfelder (talk) 20:18, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
