Discussion

This article needs importance rating. It is organized as a list, but does that exclude it from article or other rating? GenQuest (talk) 04:41, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Hatfields-McCoys?

They aren't listed, which is odd since they're the most famous feud. Amber Workman aka Ambiesushi (talk) 02:00, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Someone removed the section on the Hatfields and Mccoys in an apparent act of vandalism. I've added the section back.--74.167.7.205 (talk) 14:12, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

Incorrect

Removed the template "Gunfights and feuds of the Old West", it doesn't belong here (especially in the Hamilton-Burr section), only on the articles about the feuds itself (this article is a list of feuds). Moved pictures to the right and standardized their size so they are not in conflict with the text. Also, removed the unnecesarry links and emboldenments in the picture captions. Also, I removed the picture of Wyatt Earp, one picture is all that is needed (if any) and we should not be adding a picture of Wyatt Earp to every article that mentions his name.--$1LENCE D00600D (talk) 23:24, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

Problem

This article is titled "List of feuds in the United States" yet the header makes it seem as though its an article exclusively for "Family feuds in the United States." With that said, the Hamilton-Burr conflict and the Regulator-Moderator War were not family feuds so the opening paragraph either needs to be changed accordingly or this page needs to be renamed "List of family feuds in the United States" and the Hamilton-Burr and Regulator-Moderator stuff deleted.--$1LENCE D00600D (talk) 06:53, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

I'm for the former, if anyone is interested.--$1LENCE D00600D (talk) 06:57, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Seems quite a glaring omission seeing how up to 30 people died in total in just a three year period.86.139.43.51 (talk) 21:09, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

How about the Little Lake Vendetta?

Sometimes (mis)called The Coates-Frost Feud, this vendetta began as a post-Civil War political fight between Unionists and Confederate sympathizers. Fist fights and arguments escalated in 1867 into a massive gunfight worse than the OK Corral; five were killed, and five others wounded. The Coates definitely lost, suffering four dead and four wounded. However, in succeeding years, the vendetta devolved into an intra-family feud among two generations of Frosts. By the time the feud was ended by the first murder conviction in 1881, "hit" contracts were being taken out a la Mafia, and 14 people had died.

Is that a notable enough feud for this article?

Addenda for clarification:

If the Little Lake Vendetta is deemed notable enough for an article, I will create it and add a link to this list. Can anyone tell just what the notability standards are for such an article?

Sorry for a really, really, late reply. @Georgejdorner: If you can find enough reliable sources for a thing, it can have an article. GenQuest "Talk to Me" 20:02, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

Bush-Clinton Feud

Political family feud? Does it fit? --Volvlogia (talk) 21:06, 24 February 2019 (UTC)

Was gun-play involved? (Probably not.) GenQuest "Talk to Me" 06:09, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
