Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Fairline Boats. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Rename to Fairline Yachts?

[edit]

This page should probably primarily reflect the current company, with Fairline Boats's history retained. Given this, I believe the page should be renamed to the new name, Fairline Yachts. Thoughts? John298 (talk) 05:28, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Rename page and edit

[edit]

I work with Fairline Yachts and it would like the page changed from Fairline Boats to Fairline Yachts. I can see this has been previously discussed on here and it was recommended to become Fairline Yachts.

We would also like to amend the intro to the page to reflect its current status/ownership. The second line of the intro below regarding Hanover Investors acquiring the company can also be added to the bottom of the company history.

Please could the intro be amended to the following...

Fairline Yachts[1] formerly Fairline Boats, is a British manufacturer of luxury motor yachts. Started in 1963 by Jack Newington, the company built motor yachts in Oundle, Northamptonshire.

On 14 June 2021, private equity group Hanover Investors acquired the company.
