I am having trouble finding a source for the statement "Cecil Sharp collected numerous other variants, considering "Sweet William's Ghost" to be a slight variation on the basic plot." Is anyone else well-read in Sharp's folksong material? The source is a bit obscure and outdated, but I think drawing parallels to "Sweet William's Ghost" is nonetheless important.
