Criterion states their DVD is 130 minutes long. This might be a mistake, but I'm not certain.

Fair use rationale for Image:Faces poster.jpg

[edit]

Image:Faces poster.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This plot summary is horrible. No offense, but it's pretty snide. I'm going to start writing a better, more comprehensive one, and will edit the plot summary section when I complete it. I can't believe the page for this film is a stub. Good grief. banditteeth (talk) 07:32, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The introductory meta-film element

[edit]

No mention is made of how the film starts with a group of business men showing their boss a film they've made - a "La Dolce Vita of the business world", which is followed by the title sequence of "Faces". I think that aspect should be mentioned even though to movie never returns to this narrative layer. Would be interesting to hear if anybody knows at which stage in production this scene was added, it does strike me as something added after an unsatisfactory first screening, using the mention of Fellini's La Dolce Vita as a means to get the viewers in the right mind to understand the purpose of the film.
