Number of employees

[edit]

Shouldn’t the info box show the number of employees? 2A01:B340:64:58AA:2CB8:87AB:AD5D:AE7D (talk) 14:30, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Main Article (Padlock Icon) Locked, Biz InfoBox Not Include HQ's?

[edit]

Howdy- The Main Article (I see a Padlock Icon) is Locked; the main page's Business (specific?) InfoBox shows the company was founded in Cambridge, but does Not Include information about the city, state, country for the company's current headquarters. Is this by design? Could it please be added by an Admin? I suppose if a user follows the link to Facebook's parent company of Meta, the info would be there, but I would assume that even when there is a PARENT co, a sub company still has or can have a company Headquarters, aka, HQ? No? Thanks for your time. -From Peter {a.k.a. Vid2vid (talk | contribs)} 22:12, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Facebook is not a subsidiary. 67.180.143.89 (talk) 22:19, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion for Mark Zuckerberg

[edit]

Talk:Mark Zuckerberg page is locked for me. (Probably all IP editors can only View source there.) I have a suggestion for the article about Zuckerberg. My suggestion is to add parameter url-access=registration to the cite news of ref "tele90" that links to the external video about "Mark Zuckerberg's career in 90 seconds". Also, the external media template itself, that creates the "External video" block, could use an additional phrase along the lines of "requires a free account". Without this warning in the ref and/or block, probably others, like me, are frustrated to end up at a login page. --2001:1C06:19C9:400:49B:AEDC:AB3B:FE4F (talk) 15:21, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

tele90 reference  Done, but {{external media}} doesn't respond to it, only the footnote does. It would be very useful if you, FE4F, could make the argument for including it at the template's talk page. Thanks. — Trey Maturin 16:54, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. When it comes to the media template, I meant simply complementing the text used for video1 to say "This requires a free account." or something along these lines. --2001:1C06:19C9:400:B2FF:CA0D:C1C3:53CB (talk) 19:56, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can add that, and you're very right to point out that it's needed. But an option on the template that calls the media would be a good thing too, so, please, do request it! — Trey Maturin 20:01, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit citing Reason

[edit]

Hey, @Firefly115, just wanted to point out that, while Reason is classified as an RS for news and facts, WP:RS/P states:

Editors consider Reason to be a biased or opinionated source that primarily publishes commentary, analysis, and opinion articles. Statements of opinion should be attributed and evaluated for due weight.

So using it as a source for criticism is, perhaps, not suitable. Though I'd defer to more experienced editors if need be. ASpacemanFalls (talk) 09:19, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the clarification, I will wait for the feedback of more experienced editors as well. I just thought it was a piece of criticism not yet on the page and Reason was one of the main RS outlets I saw covering it. Thanks again.

As I've said on your talk page, this far-right anti-vax talking point cited to a "libertarian" blog is a very poor addition. Unless a better, reliable source can be found, I will remove it on or after 6 March 2023. — Trey Maturin 11:29, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page protection

[edit]

Although I believe that talk pages should remain open, and there were some legitimate comments from other IP editors above, the reality is that the page notice installed in November barely made a dent in the number of junk edit requests. They're still about one per day, require frequent oversight to remove personal information, and cannot be effectively reasoned with. This has been chronic since late December 2021. Semi-protection, at least, seems justified. 67.180.143.89 (talk) 05:34, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's my understanding that the gradient blue color in the Facebook logo used on this page is neither official or allowed. The logo must be either white on (solid) blue, gray or black, or in a single solid color with the "f" as a cut-out. Full guidelines can be found at https://about.meta.com/brand/resources/facebookapp/logo/ -- Peter (talk) 13:43, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
