Facade

[edit]

It is not clear which is the most common name for this poem. Google returns:

  • about 624 English pages for "Edith Sitwell" -facade façade -wikipedia
  • about 680 English pages for "Edith Sitwell" facade -façade -wikipedia

A search of google books returns

  • 5 on intitle:facade inauthor:Edith inauthor:Sitwell.
  • 4 on intitle:façade inauthor:Edith inauthor:Sitwell

A search of Amazon returns only books with the spelling Facade not Façade. [1] so I think it is better if both spellings are mentioned. --Philip Baird Shearer 12:31, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The cedilla was used by the author. Not sure one should encourage misquotations of her title. Have removed the incorrect alternative. Tim riley (talk) 21:00, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Tim riley: the author's spelling should be used. -- Ssilvers (talk) 16:43, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
