Venezuela destabilization: removing it from article

[edit]

I'm removing a section alleging FTI involvement in Venezuela. I'm doing so based on Tom Hayden's piece at the Huffington Post.[1] Note this correct at the bottom of the article: "In my recent analysis of Venezuela, I incorrectly referred to an entity known as FTI Consulting as part of a network seeking to destabilize Venezuela. I relied on a 2013 'secret memo' for undermining Venezuela with the FTI logo at the top, published on Venezuela-based blogs, without verifying the existence and authenticity of the original document. I have edited out the reference which appeared in The Bulletin and in The Huffington Post. There is no doubt, however, that the US government supports 'democracy programs' in Venezuela supporting the activities of opposition groups." —C.Fred (talk) 18:18, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

NYT investigative report and Mother Jones article

[edit]

Dropping two recent sources, for any interested editor: "These Ladies Love Natural Gas! Too Bad They Aren’t Real." on Mother Jones and How One Firm Drove Influence Campaigns Nationwide for Big Oil on The New York Times. Schazjmd (talk) 21:06, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reads like an advertisement

[edit]

I'm of the belief that this article satisfies the criteria to be tagged as reading like advertising. Per Wikipedia:PROMOTION, I see examples of Wikipedia:PUFF - e.g.: "consistently ranks as one of the top global management consulting firms". Furthermore, there is only positive information about FTI on the page despite there been a large number of Wikipedia:Reliable sources covering controversies and criticisms of the company: here, here, here.

Hunter Biden editing

[edit]

I'm a new editor so this may be out of paygrade but I'm surprised no one has added this story to the page https://www.rt.com/news/581379-hunter-biden-wikipedia-edits-consulting/

And also given was FTI does, surely there has to be suspicion of editing they're done to this page. And I cite the previous post here on the talk page that says the page reads like an advertisment. Whitemancanjump23 (talk) 07:57, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
