feet of sea water

This seems a bit much for a dab page, and is difficult to link to. I suggest a "feet of sea water" unit article, so that articles using the unit can link to it, for example Super Falcon Submersible.

Seeing this on my watchlist, I looked at it again and the values given are obviously wrong, out by a factor of 1000. 1 fsw is about 0.44 psi; 33 fsw about 1 atmosphere.

  • I agree, these values do not appear to be correct. My recollections from my time working in the chemical engineering field is that between 32 and 33 feet of water is 1 atmosphere. This would make these values incorrect. I'll wait a while before I do any correction. But if no-one disagrees in a reasonable time (realistically when I check my 'watched' articles next... probably a few months), or no-one makes the change before I do, I'll take the initiative.Theshowmecanuck (talk) 02:42, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
