FL Technics history updates.
[edit]Ahunt, as much as I value your contribution to the Wikipedia, the edits you make on FL Technics Wikipedia article are not valid. The company did expand by opening new hangars how is that a promotion? The company also created a training division which is an integral part of the company. Other companies like Boeing, Airbus in their wiki articles are allowed to disclose such information, whereas FL Technics can only disclose the date it was founded. Why 2011 entry about Storm Aviation acquisition is okay and the one from 2020 about Flash Line Maintenance once is not okay anymore? I would kindly ask you to explain or rather write the history as you see fit. The explanation of "STILL A LOT OF WP:SPAM; WP:TRIVIA and WP:PROMOTION" does not give clear indication where the problem lies, because Storm Aviation and Flash Line maintenance acquisitions are worded in the same way, but one is not accepted, although other one is...Spontiac (talk) 18:45, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- After reading WP:NPA, then you need to detail what text and refs you are proposing to add for debate and consensus here. - Ahunt (talk) 21:30, 31 July 2021 (UTC)

- It looks like WP:TRIVIA and WP:PROMOTIONAL to me. We don't report every time a company opens a new building and we don't use terms like
FL Technics Engine Services quick turn activities’ shop opened doors
andlaunched Logistics Solutions as a full-scale service
as it sounds like WP:PEACOCK language written by the company's marketing department. If you want to add a list of locations that the company operates from and even the dates they were opened that would be a better proposal. - Ahunt (talk) 12:06, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you Ahunt for your suggestions, those entries that sound like the ones made by company's marketing department are taken from their official press releases, I can try making them more neutral. As for buildings and year they were opened, I lack such information as the company was established in 2005 when not everything was published on the internet. I believe that keeping it as a neutral entry "In 2014 FL Technics opened a new hangar at Kaunas Airport, Lithuania". As the company has only 4 hangars worldwide, an opening of a new one is a momentous achievement for them in my eyes.Spontiac (talk) 06:21, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
- The reason we don't copy language from official press releases is because it is written by the company marketing department and is promotional spam. It is also a copyright violation. - Ahunt (talk) 11:51, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
- Okay Ahunt got it. What do editors think about this edited history?

- Well let's see if any of the other editors watching this page support adding any of your proposed content. If not, then I think we can close this item. To allow everyone who wants to participate we typically give these consultations a week. - Ahunt (talk) 12:34, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- So Ahunt after a week no one reached out, is it possible to add this neutral-sounding info to the article?Spontiac (talk) 08:07, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- First off, what you proposed was far from neutral and no other editors supported it, so there is no consensus to include it. I proposed above that a simple list of locations with refs would be appropriate. - Ahunt (talk) 14:21, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- Ahunt, if there are no other editors watching the page, how are will they support it? For your information, the list of locations of the hangars is included. But you are deleting everything beginning 2012 without any regard that information is neutral and worth including. Why can't the acquisitions of Flash Line maintenance, Wright international and partnership with MAAS Aviation included? In Boeing's page it is said that Mcdonnel douglas merged with Boeing which is also an acquisition, but no other editors have any problem with that. Thus I believe this information should be included and is of an importance. Please look into the matter carefully and don't make any inertial decisions.Spontiac (talk) 18:01, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

- The artcile history shows quite a number of editors have been watching this article. I suspect the lack of participation from others is due to WP:WALLOFTEXT, and because we seem to be sorting it out without assistance.
- I have added the parts of your text above to the facilities list and started an acquisitions lists as well. - Ahunt (talk) 23:21, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
About employee number, it's misleading.
[edit]FL Technics is an international company group that owns subsidiaries abroad. The employee number (854) with the reference link is only counting the employees in Lithuania and it's misleading and not accurate. I tried to take this info off but it's retrieved. Please review again and agree on this, or advise how I can change it and make it more accurate.

- We have a cited ref, but we can just qualify it by location. - Ahunt (talk) 11:59, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
