The Name
[edit]Avisa Nordland, on February 22, 2007, writes that the club has no official legal name written down in the club's laws. The original name Glimt has had alterations throughout history, but the name Bodø/Glimt were never an official name, rather one that they started using for simplifications on betting ballots (to avoid showing match ups such as Bodø-Glimt-Ham-Kam). While Bodø/Glimt is definitely the most commonly used name today, and such the proper name for the article, shouldn't the article in some way reflect the fact that this is not the official name of the club? Re: name
[edit]The orginal name of the club was only Glimt. The norwegian football assosiation probithed the use of this name due to the fact that a minor club had the same name and was founded first. Because of this the club had to add Bodø to Glimt.
It's a myth that the norwegian betting company Norsk Tipping forced the club to spell the name as Bodø/Glimt and not Bodø-Glimt. Both names was used at the same time in the 60's and 70's. In the 80's the club started to use only: Bodø/Glimt. The Players and the supporters of the club has always used the "nickname": Glimt.
I could add this to the articel but my english and spelling is rather poor... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.134.56.192 (talk) 12:25, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Reorganize history
[edit]This article has received several contributions from various people. This is what a Wikipedia article is all about. There is a lot of interesting information about the team. Unfortunately, the article lacks references and reliable sources. The history part should also be reorganized into more logical sections and paragraphs; now, the article seems a bit messy. The following month, this user will hopefully do some changes and tidy the article. Please to contribute with information and sentences! Thank you.
