Team Pages

[edit]

I don't think that the team pages section is necessary for the article. See #11 and #12 of the Links to normally avoid. --Shimei 14:14, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're right. Unless there are any special circumstances these teams run under, like ChiefDelphi and their famous forums for FRC, then they shouldn't be here. Im deleting now. Copysan 17:28, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Current Event

[edit]

Would it be acceptable to add this years event under the competition subsection? --Knippschild 18:32, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is very acceptable. Copysan 18:45, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Do you think it is useful to link to a portuguese site?

If you're talking about the link to [1], then no. What information does it contain not otherwise available in the other links? I propose that it be removed. -Zeus- 22:02, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

the oxford winners for 2009

[edit]

Out of all oxfordshire there was one winner on the 31st of March 2009(Tuesday). A new contestant to the game, the Tackley T-BOTS! As over all winners and challenge winners. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.164.240.172 (talk) 06:04, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

no offence intended, but doesn't anyone know more about the challenges, or competition? There appear to be some gaps that could use filling... Jds500 (talk) 15:57, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Uncited Info

[edit]

""" Due to the large number of perfect scores in the 2007-08 season, the level of difficulty increased dramatically for the 2008-09 season. [citation needed] There were still a few perfect scores, so the difficulty was once again drastically increased for the 2009-10 season, in which navigation was made tough by forcing sharp twists and turns, as well as obstacles and straight driving, something that is surprisingly hard. In the 2011-12 season, the difficulty increased again making the theoretical maximum score unobtainable. By including a time intensive repeated task, the designer made it impossible to get a "perfect" score within the time limits of the game. This task created a virtual "soft" maximum score that challenges teams to get as many iterations of the task as possible within the time limit. Table performance is worth 16.6% of the total mark. """

This information (although i personally agree) is speculation on an internal policy decision of FIRST and really does not belong in this article. I propose that this be deleted. FrodoBaggins (blackhat999) (talk) 17:45, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

a total shame that we lost this brilliant piece of trivia. The article is poorer because somebody saw "rules" as more important than "quality" of information. If you agree, FrodoBaggins, stand for what is better! YamaPlos talk 02:16, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unneeded Info

[edit]

The largest single-day regional qualifying tournament is hosted by First State Robotics and First State FIRST Lego League in Wilmington, Delaware. Taking place every January, this event holds Junior FIRST Lego League (Jr.FLL; grades K-3), FIRST LEGO League (FLL; grades 4–8), FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC; grades 9–12), FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC; grades 9–12), and robot sumo competitions under one roof at the University of Delaware's Bob Carpenter Center. Teams from Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland (among other regions) attend this tournament to make it the largest single-day FIRST event in the world.[1]

All this info really is not relevant to the article. I propose that it is deleted as well. FrodoBaggins (blackhat999) (talk) 17:51, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
