Typeface reconstruction
[edit]-
like this example
-
Arkansas-similar in height:width ratio to Erbar Light Condensed; Hill House typeface has a very similar curled 2
-
Cuba-finial ends of characters are beveled instead of serifed
-
all letters were used, note Cubans repainted their old plates so some letters do not clearly show underlying bevel
-
North Carolina-variable thicknesses, similar to Goudy's Lining Gothic design of 1921-changing direction-North Carolina changed stamping typefaces every 3-4 years, better to illustrate that
-
my crude mockup of end idea-without grey background-that's something my old MSPaint does

- please make characters uniform like File:FE-Schrift.svg, sorry for my strange images and eyeballing … -- Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 14:47, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
- I have inverted some so all characters are darker than their background--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 04:29, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

Sample picture for Philippine use
[edit]I request for someone to change the picture for the Philippines' use of this typeface in license plates. The picture shows license plates but with the typeface (not FE-Schrift typeface) used from 2014 up until February 2018. Johngabriel.ibay (talk) 04:29, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- The change from 26. June 2018 was made by @Jenny.casarino:. And just WP:FIXIT. Guidod (talk) 07:05, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
Thailand plate?
[edit]So someone made a change of the article indicating Thailand's new plates are using this font.
This is pratically untrue since we use TH alphabets in our plates, barely gaining any advantages from the anti-tampering mechanisms. The "Ministerial regulation specifying the dimensions, appearances and colors of vehicle registration plates and the display of vehicle registration plates and annual tax payment marks, B.E. 2554" on https://web.dlt.go.th/ indicates no use of this font.
Unless objected, I will remove such claims. -- Sirakorn (talk) 09:30, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
