Negotiations and Agreement with China

[edit]

Who started these negotiations with China (probably in the late 1990's)? Was this agreement with China a direct response to the US frigates being called back? And what was the US response to this Pak-China deal? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.180.80.213 (talk) 16:59, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nuclear Capabilities

[edit]

Is F-22P Nuclear capable or not?

I dont think it is nuclear capable.

Specifications dispute

[edit]

The F-22P ship's characteristics is L:123M,Beam:13.4M,Draught 6M,Displacement:3,144M.These latest information obtained from the introduction manual when the warship in the August 27 2009 visit to Port Klang,Malaysia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.100.58.44 (talk) 15:21, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Something is wrong with those numbers. According to the manufacturer's website (http://www.karachishipyard.com.pk/products/f22p.htm), Length (Overall) = 118.00 m, Breadth = 13.20 m, Depth = 10.20 m, Draught = 5.10 m, Displacement = 2500 tons, speed = 29 knots, Range = 4000 nautical miles, complement = 183, Propulsion = 4 Main Diesel Engines, Weapons and sensors = Surface to Surface Missiles, Surface to Air Missiles, Radar Controlled Guns, Integrated Anti Submarine System, EW System, Chaff IR Launcher, Radar Warning Receiver System. The other source provided also says displacement is 2500 ton.--Hj108 (talk) 16:25, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Strange, as an improved Type 053H3 (Jiangwei II), closer to the Type 054 frigate, F-22P is still using C-802 missiles. Pakistan has bought C-803 from China, both Type 054 frigate and Type 053H3 (Jiangwei II) now use C-803, why is F-22P using C-802. Where else is Pakistan going to use its C-803 missiles? C-802 are used in the Pakistan's Jalalat class missile boats. F-22P can surely accommodate C-803. Raza0007 (Talk) 00:27, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree Raza, but we have to go with sources. Sooner or later we will probably find sources stating the 22P to be armed with C-803.--Hj108 (talk) 10:09, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Note hijack?

Or is that just SOP for PN? Hcobb (talk) 04:04, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

added! with better references than wantchinatimes. as for their SOP god (or in this case allah) only knows what it is, considering the sheer number of extremist defectors they have in their ranks. Pvpoodle (talk) 20:04, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
