Broca
[edit]Broca's aphasia is different; it is caused by brain damage. Expressive language disorder isn't caused by brain damage; it's caused by other biological causes or upbringing, depending which side of the nature vs. nurture view is supported by the interpreter.
I agree. I am not sure why it would be merged.
cleanup needed
[edit]Third paragraph especially: "There must be..." not very encyclopeadic. P.S. please sign your posts! --geekyßroad. meow? 18:26, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
External links
[edit]External links on Wikipedia are supposed to be "encyclopedic in nature" and useful to a worldwide audience. Please read the external links policy (and perhaps the specific rules for medicine-related articles) before adding more external links.
The following kinds of links are inappropriate:
- Online discussion groups or chat forums
- Personal webpages and blogs
- Multiple links to the same website
- Fundraising events or groups
- Websites that are recruiting for clinical trials
- Websites that are selling things (e.g., books or memberships)
I realize that some links are helpful to certain users, but they still do not comply with Wikipedia policy, and therefore must not be included in the article. WhatamIdoing (talk) 05:37, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Most of the information posted for expressive language disorder is written unprofessionally - i.e. put onto a younger level?
An expressive language disorder has nothing to do with speech, it is specifically a langauge disorder.
And I agree with you, Broca's is an acquired language disorder - expressive lagnuage disorder is a development disorder. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.109.92.175 (talk) 17:54, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
This article sounds as though it were written by a third-grader. I was hoping to find something useful here for research I am doing for a paper. This is totally worthless. I found more (and better) information on this subject at wiseGEEK. (Nowhere enough for my needs of course) Please do something here, even if it's only a re-write of what's here already.
