Like Electric guitar design, it strongly resembles a failed term paper. It adds little (if anything) to elaborations better presented in other articles, and appears dedicated to creating a Topic from scattered factoids that are taken from relevant context and rendered merely interesting.

If the article can be improved, specific comments on how to do that will be helpful. If your view is that the subject is necessarily unencyclopedic, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion gives instructions on how to nominate an article for deletion.Dialectric (talk) 02:16, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's a Hefty — stuffed full of trash. For instance,
Another example of an original stringed instrument is the creation of composer Ellen Fullman, the Long String instrument.
when I remember Peter Schickele putting a rough string across the length of the stage so that the performer (holding a violin) would walk the length of the stage using the string as the bow, and the composition was written to be complete in that stroll. That was the earyl '70s.
Running a string across a stage might make Fullman a performer (though IMO performance art rather than music), but certainly NOT a luthier — look it up. Call it sculpture, perhaps; however, if I were to whack a series of boards with a mallet & achive some sort of musicality, that DOES NOT equate to "lumber is a musical instrument."
THere's no "improving" a random essay based on a faulty premise, much less a pile of faulty premises. I'll make changes.
