December 2005

[edit]

I tagged this page for cleanup. Most of the text appears to predate the actual mission, and refers to things that "will" happen on the mission. Did they? This needs to be rewritten and fact-checked (but I don't have any time tonight). Bikeable 03:44, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

an "eye" on the mission patch

I think what you're seeing may be a representation of a Pressurized Mating Adapter, not an eye. Sdsds 18:44, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

number of orbits, total distance, and mass

[edit]

I've removed these three numbers from the infobox.. it appears they are copied directly from here, which doesn't appear to be a reliable source. The number of orbits is probably close to that, based on the fact that the ISS orbits the earth once every 91 minutes, and we know the duration.. but as far as I can tell, that's where this number came from. Then the distance travelled could then be calculated based on the number of orbits (distance per orbit = circumference of the earth + 2 * 3.14 * orbital altitude), and it roughly agrees.

There is a bigger problem with the mass: it changed considerably during the mission. In any case, I've removed these numbers since I doubt their reliability. If someone finds a reliable source for this info, that would be great. Mlm42 (talk) 03:56, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Crew interviews

[edit]

In case anyone is interested, just prior to the 10 year anniversary of Expedition 1, NASA conducted interviews with Expedition 1 heroes Bill Shepherd (here) and Sergei Krikalev (here). Mlm42 (talk) 16:32, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Reviewing this article to be a GA on Spanish Wikipedia, I found out all links to Space.com (many references) are broken. Can somebody fix them, please? It doesn't make sense to have inline citations linking to nowhere. Thanks in advance. --Mel 23 (talk) 21:53, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mel 23 that's what I just found out too, 4+ years after your comment. It reid to fix 2 but couldnt so tagged, then found out they were all leading to a "404 Error". 220 of Borg 05:13, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
