Anyone else notice that half the page is missing? 68.205.81.87 (talk) 19:28, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't like it 217.13.165.77 (talk) 13:10, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Does this page need to exist at all? There's already a separate page about Louis XVI. I think it's redundant and should be removed. Feeline (talk) 12:36, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The execution of Louis XVI was a major event which led the French Revolution into the "Terror", it's most infamous period - I think it's important to retain as an independent article, because it's not just about the killing of some King of France for the sake of it, but an event that led to the Revolution, and ultimately to a chain of future European events - Napoleon, European War, Nationalism, WW1, WW2, etc, in addition to his support of the American Revolution it can be said that a lot of world history stems from this one mans life and death. Although all those things can't be written into the article because of the need for stronger evidence, it was be inappropriate to simply enter Louis' execution as a footnote in history in his page - an expanded article is far more deserved, as people might develop it further over time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MarcusBritish (talkcontribs) 22:11, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Might somebody edit/re-translate the account of Father Edgeworth? Parts of it are simply incomprehensible. I would do it myself, but I don't know for sure what is intended, and I don't know French... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Authun (talkcontribs) 20:35, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"had reportedly cursed Louis' ancestor Philip the Fair" In factPhilip IV (direct Capetian) was cousin/nethew/grandson of Louis ancestor (Bourbon line). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.46.217.161 (talk) 15:45, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
