This used to be at civil disobedience, but I moved it here because it was getting overgrown, and would have been especially so if it had been made more complete. What is the best way of organizing this stuff? Should we have a chronologically-organized history of civil disobedience? Should it be organized by region, e.g. civil disobedience in Africa? Do not use fair use media in this article
[edit]Maybe the link I provided isn't correct. WP:NFC#UUI #5 specifically stated that An image to illustrate an article passage about the image, if the image has its own article (in which case the image may be described and a link provided to the article about the image). -- Sameboat - 同舟 (talk) 03:34, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- To tell you the truth, we're probably stretching the rules a bit by including that image in Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. But they get away with by commenting on the image itself in the caption. Perhaps we could do the same thing here. I mean, the Tank Man's actions do count as civil disobedience, right? And if so, it's one of the most famous examples that occurred in China. Tisane talk/stalk 07:50, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Minor examples
[edit]There are many minor (but notable) examples of civil disobedience in various U.S. states. I think our strategy should be to put them in this article for now, and then when the U.S. section gets too large, break them off into, e.g., civil disobedience in North Carolina.
