"Impenetrable" science?

Editors may have seen the recent Signpost which named Evolutionary biology articles as examples of "impenetrable science" here on Wikipedia. Certainly the first few lines of the current article are not specially inviting; words like "evolution" and "biology" are repeated without much explanation. Perhaps John Timmer had at least some sort of a point when he wrote that "Wikipedia fails as an encyclopedia, to science's detriment". Perhaps this is easily fixable here with a little friendly explanation, at least in the leads of a few key articles. Chiswick Chap (talk) 10:11, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

I've drafted a new lead and added some image captions with links and dates; I hope this is acceptable as a starting point. I'm sure much more can be done to improve comprehensibility here and in related articles. Chiswick Chap (talk) 12:48, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

Geodakyan's evolutionary theory of sex

Help required with Geodakyan's evolutionary theory of sex: the article of apparently fringe theory is based almost exclusively on primary sources and edited by a people with strong connection to the subject. Staszek Lem (talk) 17:05, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
