Very sad idea here
[edit]I am an educator and the following is very, very sad. "Most students with disabilities will be required to take the same assessments and will be held to the same standards as other students. ESSA allows for only one percent of students, accounting for ten percent of students with disabilities, to be excused from the usual standardized testing. This one percent is reserved for students with severe cognitive disabilities, who will be required to take an alternate assessment instead. This is a smaller percentage of students than under past mandates, mainly because there is not enough staff available to administer the assessments to the students one-on-one" Alexandermoir (talk) 17:50, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
- The crazy thing about your comment is I am one of those students that had to be tested and had to have an accommodations while being tested but when it came to mandated teste. It has been a while since I’ve been in school, I’m 30+ years old now but the point that I’m trying to convey is I remember not receiving or getting extra help and until it became one pacific Teacher that really cared enough to teach me what was needed for the class and how to study for that Assignment. I sympathize with you as a teacher, and I also sympathize with your students that has disabilities have several. I hope and pray the education system gets better for every student that needs to be taugh 2601:14D:4B01:C50:F5D0:ABC4:4BD8:434 (talk) 22:49, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
